Michael Corvin became the first successful hybrid after being infected with Lycan DNA while under Vampire healing, but it was his son who fully realized the potential of this lineage.

Historically, pure Vampires perish in sunlight, while Lycans are vulnerable to silver and specific toxins. The Daywalker nullifies these vulnerabilities, becoming an apex predator capable of operating during any hour. This shift forced factions to reconsider their strategies, as a single Daywalker could potentially lead either species to dominance or unite them against a common threat. The prophecy suggested this being would bring about the end of the old world order.
